I was really fucking pumped up about this concert cause last time I saw System and Incubus, they both put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. So we made sure to get there early enough to get a good spot Which we did; right up against the barrier just left of the center of the stage where we camped out watching the videos on the huge screen. Speaking of that, that made this concert much more enjoyable....rather than sitting there listening to crappy music between bands, which is the one thing I really hate about concerts, we got to watch snowboarding clips and some badass music videos. Too bad every concert isn't like that.

Anyway, the first band up was Mr. Bungle. I had no idea who they were before this, I didn't even know the lead singer was Mike Patton, formerly of Faith No More. But they ended up impressing the hell out of me. They were quite amusing as well....they came out dressed sorta like the Village People...an Indian, a biker, 2 cowboys, a chef, and one that I assumed was supposed to be a waiter or something. After the first song, the bassist goes "We're Mr. Bungle and we're a bunch of FAGGOTS!!" Then after the next song, Mike goes "Our bassist was a little off with that last comment...I'm no fag. You see, I like to catch not pitch if you know what I mean...and just cause I like to receive it don't mean I'm a faggot." But anyway they were pretty damn good and the crowd seemed to be really into it considering they were the first band of the night.

The next band was supposed to be Puya, who I was really looking forward to seeing because they seemed pretty badass from what little I had heard of them. Unfortunately, one of the guys' wives had a kid so they dropped off the tour for a couple days. Of course one of those days had to be ours. So the replacement was some band called Boy Hits Car. Yeah, shitty name for a shitty band. Well, they weren't shitty...but they certainly didn't deserve to be on the same stage as the 3 other bands. I'm writing this review a couple days after the concert and I can't even remember what they sounded like, that's how boring and unoriginal they were. The crowd was not into it at all...they were even getting alot of boos and fuck you's, which makes me want to smack the people doing it, but oh well...I just wanted these guys to get done as soon as possible.

Next up was Incubus...god damn do these guys rock live. They put on one hell of a show last time I saw them and they didn't disappoint this time either. I didn't have quite as good of a time, but that's only because there were alot more crazy fuckers in the pit that were alot bigger than me...but it was still a great performance. They played about 5 songs from S.C.I.E.N.C.E., about 5 from Make Yourself, and You Will Be A Hot Dancer from Enjoy Incubus, which was cool as fuck. Not much to say about Incubus, just an overall great performance like always.

Finally, the headliner...System of a Down. These guys are up there with Fear Factory as my favorite metal bands. And they're both up there with Static-X as my favorite bands to see live. They've got such a unique, heavy, upbeat sound, you gotta love their live performance. And since they were headlining this time they got to do whatever the hell they wanted as long as they wanted. Which included damn near all of their cd, two new songs, and a cover of Black Sabbath's Snowblind which was fucking badass. One of the coolest moments was when they were coming on stage...the whole band came out, then Darth Vader's music from Star Wars starts playing, and Serj slowly comes walking out in a big chinese-style robe...I was just in awe...it was one of those moments. Then they immediately broke into Suite-Pee and didn't stop kicking ass for the next hour. Rating: 9
