Bands: Nothingface/From Zero/Dog Fashion Disco
Dog Fashion Disco-- Their cd kicked ass and they ruled in concert. In the
background they had a screen that showed some fucked up stuff. Like clowns
fisting each other, toys having sex, deformed people (including some guy
with a really fucked up hand, and a home video of a lady with no arms and
legs jumping on a trampoline and swimming.). And in between one of the songs
they showed a video of some guy shooting himself on a bridge. (Which seemed
to bother some people. It didn't bother me at all. I've seen much much
worse). Anyway they played a good set, their best songs. Highlights included
"Leper Friend", "9 To 5 At The Morgue", "Aniquity's Small Rewards", and
"Pour Some Urine On Me" among other greats. Later on when Nothingface was
playing I met Todd Smith (their vocalist) and we talked and he signed my
ticket stub.
From Zero- I got their cd a little bit after it came out and I thought it
was pretty good. Nothing too original. They played a good set and really got
everyone moving. I think they are even better live. They were very energetic
and put on a good performance. Highlights included "Check Ya", "Jeer", "The
Other Side", "Smack" and "Suffering." Later on when Nothingface was playing,
I met Jett (their vocalist) and he was also very nice. I also talked to him
and he signed my ticket stub.
Nothingface- This was my 2nd time seeing them (1st was opening for PanterA).
Anyhow they played a great set with a good mix of their best songs from An
Audio Guide To Everyday Atrocity and Violence. The only song from Pacifier
that they played was "One Thing." Other highlights included "Bleeder", "Same
Solution", "Goldtooth", "For All the Sin", "Filthy", "Can't Wait for
Violence" and "Blue Skin" among more of their greatest tunes. After that for
an encore they played "Villains" and got everyone going insane after Matt
Holt shouted "I want to see one of the biggest pits this club has ever
seen!" I have to say they are one of the best bands around and they are even
better live.
All the bands kicked ass. 10/10
